The physiotherapist will check with you about your injury/pain or dysfunction that is affecting you. He/she will then assess you for that injury to know the root cause of the dysfunction, and check your muscle strength, range of motion, and tone of your muscles. They will ask you about the difference that you feel at present compared to your pre-injury level in your day-to-day activities. The therapist will then devise a plan of care for you where assessment findings will be discussed and what to expect in the rehabilitation phase. They will also discuss with you the type of treatment that you will require and the frequency of your treatment per week.

A Home exercise program will also be provided to you throughout the course of your treatment starting from the day of assessment. You will get to discuss your rehabilitation goals with your therapist so that treatment will be geared toward achieving your goals.

You will book your series of appointments with the front desk based on the recommendation of your therapist. Try to book in advance so you get the appointment times that you need.

Physiotherapy assessment is usually for an hour and subsequent sessions may range from 30-45 mins of treatment time (time of the sessions will be discussed with you at the time of the assessment)
